Banana Boat Baby Tear Free SPF 50

Review by scrapdoll: this works great on my arms, but i can't use it on my neck or face. i forget why, but i vaguely recall a sensitivity reaction. it does leave a slight white cast, which usually transfers to my black backpack straps. but it's not a big deal, and there are sunscreens for *face* that i can't even use on my arms. so once again, i side with the fact that i can use it without major problems on my sensitive skin. it also has a light scent that doesn't bother my easily-offended nose. one thing is that it does *not* have Avobenzone, so i guess it doesn't have optimal UVA protection. that's ok for now, until i find a better one that works with me.

Review by misswillow: This product saved my vacation! After an unfortunate reaction to Coppertone Faces SPF 30, in which my eyes were red, swollen, and irritated, I went to Walgreens in search of something that would be gentle on the eyes. I found this and was able to wear it with zero eye or skin irritation! They aren't lying when they say this stuff is Tear Free. I love that it has such a high SPF rating, and is broad spectrum protection. This is wonderful for time spent at the beach or outdoors. The only drawback for me is that I don't have much luck wearing foundation or powder over it, because it is on the thick side. It sort of sits on top of the skin and doesn't totally absorb. Again, that's not an issue for me when I'm spending time at the beach or outdoors. It just means it won't be my daily sunscreen. I will never go on vacation, or to the pool, without this stuff!

Review by lorrainer07: I got the spray bottle version. The thin white liquid spreads easily and absorbs quickly, no white cast. I have been using this on my face, and it truly is no tears. Got so tired of the Neutrogena migrating into my eyes, owwwie. It does leave a shine, so if you use for face be prepared to powder up. Another plus, does not ball up under makeup.

Chanel Precision UV Essential Daily Protection SPF45

Review by lmharte: i picked this up at the counter the other day after looking for a sunscreen at most of the dept store counters for the last week or so.
packaging is sleek - its a 35ml white tube so its pretty small and handy.
this is apparantly an asia exclusive - i think its part of chanel's whitening range. with a price tag of SGD63 i'd say its on the pricey end, but not too extorbitant - after all for sunscreen, a little does go a long way.
texture is great. it slides onto the skin smoothly and doesnt leave any whitish cast (the product is not tinted) it doesnt feel heavy or oily and sinks into the skin pretty fast, leaving skin smooth to the touch. makeup sits on it well as well.

Review by dontblink15: It glides on very smoothly, stay for the whole day and wouldn't clog pores. This product is a little bit pricy but it's worth the price.

Review by nechama22: I've tried a few sunscreens and found Chanel's UV Protection by far the best. It isn't greasy and absorbs into the skin quickly. Though its a tad pricey, its worth every cent. You only need a small amount to cover the whole face and neck. Will definitely buy this again!

L'Oreal Ombrelle-SPF60 cream

Review by mulhollanddrive: I'd buy it again if desperate. I have normal/dry skin and this makes my face an oil slick by the end of the day, especially if it's a warm day. It doesn't sink in your skin, it just sits there.

Review by IiIy: This product IS very greasy-feeling upon first application, but it does eventually absorb into the skin. I would not recommend using this on your face or neck because it is heavy; however, if you choose to use this a facial sunscreen, I'd suggest setting it with some powder.
What I personally love about Ombrelle's formula is, it hasn't caused any irritation or breakouts on my face. Great protection overrides initial oily discomfort.

Review by pulidobl: I love this sunscreen! Finally a sunscreen that is effective in slowing down tanning and keeping me sunburn free. I use suncreen everyday for years and I didn't discover L'Oreal Ombrelle until I had a business trip to Toronto a few years ago. Oh wow, I actually didn't sunburn while wearing this sunscreen and did not need to reapply. Compared to Shiseido, Ombrelle is more moisturizing and doesn't irritate my skin. I usually wear Ombrelle on my arms, hands, and legs. On my face on no makeup days because it is a bit greasy. I reach for my LRP sunscreen for face because it's not as thick. I just wish that it's easier to buy quality sunscreen like Ombrelle here in the US. Unfortunately I rolled off the Toronto project a few months later so I haven't been back to Canada :( Thank goodness for ebay.
