which powder foundation is the best?Let's see the 3 recommended powder foundation !

Aveda Dual Base Minus Oil

Review by SisleyAus: Sigh. What I went through with this stuff. I got this crazy idea that I wanted a powder foundation and choose this one because it was Sage Safe and Oil Free. I tried 3 colors and they were all too dark which is crazy (I'm a GGG- LM TM Almond/Tan, Px Tan/Tawny, BB Honey). I couldn't get this to work wet or dry. It showed flakes on my oily, never dry skin. I hated the compact I had to buy to hold the powder in too. 2 Thumbs Down!

Review by bklyncowgirl: My skin is very oily and this keeps it fairly matte throughout the day. It's a little pricey if you want to buy the metal compact w/ it. I wish the colors were more warm but Linen is a pretty good match for me. Love the formula enough to purchase again.

Review by Dimitra: I actually use this more like a powder with foundation under it in my t-zone. I love the matte finish and natural coverage it provides- I apply with a large powder brush. I am a PPP/LLL and I use Aster. The powder holds up well- I only need to blot and retouch once throughout the day. My only real complaint is the packaging because I don't want to spend the money on the "tins" that are sold separately. I will definately buy this again however!

Everyday Minerals Soft Butter Peach Foundation

Review by Jaie: I've been using this color on my face for a long time now. I'm pale with a slight yellow undertone. It kind of looks scarily dark in the container, but it looks lighter on the face. I should say that this color is not a perfect match for me; it's a bit too dark. However, being pale, I could use some extra tint on my face. I've tried almost all of the fair EM shades and find this one to be the best match. In the wintertime I usually mix in some Cool Fair to make it less yellow and lighter, or just wear Cool Fair (a significantly lighter shade than Soft Butter Peach) by itself as it helps to neutralize yellow undertones. I should add that I use the Intensive formula of EM foundation, for what it's worth. The coverage is medium-heavy and that will obviously intensify the resulting color when applied.

Review by auth: I love this foundation!! Its so lovely, and keeps my face flawless and even-toned, even under the humid Malaysian weather! The best thing is that it matches my skin tone perfectly, and I look as if I'm not wearing anything at all. There is only one gripe that I have with it, that is even when I'm using the Matte formula, I really need to layer it on. But when I'm using the common liquid foundation, I use this as a setting powder for heavier coverage.

Review by bossanovaville: I love this foundation! It's a perfect match for my skin tone, it covers my flaws without looking cakey, it gives my skin a gorgeous glow, and it lasts forever. The thing that's best about Everyday Minerals, compared to Bare Escentuals, is that EM has SO many more shade options and formula options as well (intensive, semi-matte, orignal glo, etc.). The one thing I will say, however, is that the color swatches on the website seem to be inaccurate. I chose Soft Butter Peach by the description, not the picture! So, if you're picking a foundation, I would definitely suggest going not by picture, but by description.

La Prairie Cellular Treatment Foundation Powder

Review by Sybil84: Very fine texture. But: matte, matte, VERY matte. So, for oilier skin and for younger women. My mother was using it, and it made her face look flat and dull. Too matte for her age.
Update: one lippie off for the limited color range; never a close match, you always have to accept that the color is slightly off. Not what might be expected for the price. And it became grainy after a few months of use. My mother just had to discard it with a rather heavy heart - just think of the price!

Review by kitkat85: The best powder foundation I've tried so far. I have tried MAC, Lancome, Dior, and Shiseido... It looks scary dark pink in the case but it goes on much lighter. It's expensive, but worth the price. It gives my skin a flawless finish.

Review by CancerianPrincess: Not so good to use as foundation unless you enjoy looking like a corpse. The finish is way to matte for my taste. However it works wonderfully as powder over liquid foundation.I use a big powder brush to apply it,the included pat is not so good.So a 3,Its horrid alone, but wonderful in tandem as a finishing powder.
