Laura Mercier Lip Velvet in Royal Plum

Review by Cygentte3: velvety lush deep plum with warm red tones..unfortunately it did not work for me. If anyone would like it, they may have it. Just cover the cost of postage

Review by julie9536: This is my third Lip Velvet and becomes my Holygrail now .
The color is rose on my lip- not to bright, not to pale.
It makes me look bright (NC30-40).
I love this color so much and think about buying another tube for stock.

Review by belle2216: I thought this would be so much darker on me, but it's a perfect slightly more serious deep tone- the plum isn't too dark and it just accentuates my complexion perfectly! It stains more than the LM stain does- I put a little on my finger and then pat-rub it into my lips. Not only do my lips look fuller, but it ensures the color lasts. The finish is towards matte- I would say there is a VERY limited shine to this and it would be ideal also for ladies who need a good work-lip. I am interested in the other colors as well, most of which veer towards the browned-pink side of the spectrum. An excellent purchase that will last a LONG time (also thinking of using it as cheek stain...)

Giorgio Armani Matte Silk Lipstick #1

Review by Jennybear: This is definitely more brown than Matte #2. It's a brownish pink with subtle gold shimmer. It's pretty, and the texture is nice for a matte lipstick. It's not drying, but I'm not convinced it's worth the 22.50 again. Now, if this color came in the smooth formulation, I would definitely buy that!

Review by drusilladru: I have to admit I was a little disappointed in this lipstick from Giorgio Armani. One of the downfalls of never actually seeing this collection in person is that I bought matte silk lipstick #2 and then #1. The matte silk #1 and the matte silk #2 are pretty similar in color with #1 having more brown than #2. Since I prefer pinky-brown lipstick to brownish-pink I should have just happily stuck to matte silk lipstick #2 and skipped this one altogether.
I'm not complaining since I can easily add a little pink gloss to matte silk #1 but I wish I had saved my money and bought a completely different color Giorgio Armani lipstick.

Review by Caligirl42990: The Matt Silk range by Armani must be the best matt lipsticks around. I was looking for a neutral nude shade (me: fair East Asian) and bought the no. 1 in this range. It doesn't dry my lips at all and doesn't turn caky. I would have given it a 5 rating only if the packaging wasn't that cheapish plastic and the price not as steep.

Napoleon Perdis NP Set Lipstick (All Colors)

Review by AokiJ: This is Napoleon Perdis' Target Line, NP Set.
I got this lipstick in 'Madrid' which is a beautiful red. It has a great consistency and is highly pigmented, but I find it a bit too fuchsia than a true red which is what I was hoping for. The thing I was kind of annoyed about was that this line doesn't come with coordinating lip liners, I couldn't find a nice red liner to accentuate it. Other than that, a great purchase and I'm happy that Target carries them. Possibly a rebuy.

Review by blacklittlepig: I got my Napoleon Perdis "set" lipstick in Washington from Target and it is one of my fav fav's. This is a lovely mauve lipstick. Better then Mac's Twig (mauve color) and better than Ulta's creme Carmel (mauve) and better than NYX Frappucino (mauve) lipsticks. This glides on better and moisterizers. I would be careful to not bring this out in the heat or leave it in your car. This melts fast because it's not a matte thick lipstick.

Review by Angeline: This review is for the color is called MADRID, matte bright red (see pic). It is the BEST RED EVER!! I love this red. Very nice blue based, creamy lipstick. I would not say "matte" more of a "satin" finish. It's not nearly as drying as MAC Ruby Woo or Russian Red, but the color is almost Identical, if not a little bluer. I'm a pale NC20 tone, and this lipstick looks great on anyone. This is a very opaque, bright, classic red lipstick. One coat is all you need. Perfect for that "Pin-up" look. If you love red lipstick as much as I do, please give this a try. You will love it..I promise!
