MAC Blackberry Eyeshadow

Review by omegakitty: I've been hunting high and low for my HG eggplant shade and this is it. I'm NW25 and on me it's a brownish grayish eggplant. I will definitely buy this again.

Review by tetrakis: I have had this color for YEARS and though it's not an everyday staple for me, it is a great color for girls with light eyes (green in particular). Its not a stand out shade (in comparison to all the other MAC shadows). Its a matte dark berry, but I think it looks beautiful in the crease with Shale on the lid (to give it some shimmer) and some Vanilla on the browbone. If you are going to take pictures this combo is nice because its not frosty so it doesn't reflect off the camera. If you NEED shimmer added wear Stilife paint as an allover base, then apply the shadows and put shroom or naked lunch over vanilla in the brow. All in all a good color.

Review by pinktulip: Blackberry is a beautiful e/s that goes great with my very fair skintone and green eyes.
I use it for a night out with Yogurt and Quarry. The 3 eyeshadows combined give a sophisticated smokey eye.
I love matte eyeshadows they are classic and will always look great on girls all ages.

Yves Saint Laurent Ombres Vibration Duo #27

Review by lmharte: I love this YSL duo, the grafitte is beautiful, makes the best smoky eyes I've seen. The dark blue is great also, alone or with the other one.I would bye again !

Review by beckibabe: I really wanted to love this eyeshadow. This is a darker blue/grey combo, and both are ultra-shimmery. However, on my skin the dark blue just managed to look like shiny bruising. The grey actually tends toward being a taupe, and is lovely, but I really couldn't justify spending 36 for only one color I could use, so I'm taking this back. On the right person though, I'm sure these colors would be fabulous.

Review by AimeeO: For me this seems to be a very usefull duo. I got this from a swap but I am aware that you need to spend big bucks for these duos. I like both colors but I never use them together. I use mediun intensity taupe for daytime looks together with champagne or light blue or pink shade. I use grey toned blue when I am not working with same highlight shades as I use the taupe shade. The blue definitely creates a smoky eye and I suggest using lighter color on your lips with it. I find these shades work extremely well with my really pale and cool toned colouring. My only complain is that as with all the YSL shadows I have tried, the color does not last all day. It gets uneven and blotchy?? (spelling), but it does last decent amount of time. I would repurchase this duo.

Avon Avon True Color Eyeshadow Quad in Cocoa Glow

Review by tippygirl: Nice colors but the two middle shadows are just too shimmery for me. I like subtle shimmer but these are more "frost" than shimmer. The colors are: 1) pale ivory matte--really nice and versatile 2) frosty pinkish beige 3) frosty golden brown and 4) matte dark brown--for lining I'm assuming. Because of the frostiness of the middle shadows, I don't recommend these for anyone over 35 or with long, protuberant or droopy eyelids. My eyelids don't have *much* crepey-ness but these were still too frosty for me. I'll give this palette to my teenage nieces and I'm sure they'll love it.

Review by scrapdoll: Beautiful new packaging from Avon for their eyeshadows and the rest of the makeup line. Cocoa Glow has four complimentary shades that glide on and blend like a dream. Theres a cream shade, bronze shade, coral shade, and creamy milk chocolate shade for endless looks. Colurs stay true and don't crease on me all day-never worn a better eyeshadow-and i used to buy only MAC-not anymore.

Review by auth: I love this pallete, because in one fell swoop I've got all my favorite eye shadow colors at hand- a bone color, a rosy color, a metallic gold or bronze, and a dark brown. For me, these colors are the most useful and universal, and its great to find a pallete with colors that (gasp!) ACTUALLY GO TOGETHER WELL! Yay! Plus, Avon's eyeshadow really stay for me, and blend well.
