Besame Besame - Feather Light Dusting Powder

Review by Lyssa2676: Oh this powder is lovely! I'm the powder, mascara and lip balm type of gal so I really can't stand to wear anything too heavy on my face. This this powder is soooo light. The powder has a subtle vanilla scent and blends in very well. It's hard to find a good powder that suits my complexion and this one does the trick. This powder's a keeper.

Review by staci01: This is a very finely milled finishing powder, best applied by tapping into any areas with large pores and then sweeping with a large fluffy brush for a very natural finish.
I am fair, and the color was perfect-translucent, but enough to blur any imperfections. It did not settle in pores or fine lines when applied with a light hand and lasted all night. It was not drying and did not accentuate dryness although as with all powders, it looked best on moisturized skin. It also looked wonderful in photographs. According to the ingredient list, the looswe powder is much less likely to clog pores than the Besame Cashmere pressed--which I sampled and was super smooth and lovely-looking for touch-ups. However, knowing that clear skin looks best, I'll bypass the pressed. I received my loose powder as a GWP--will certainly replace--but the size is very generous.

Review by labelslut: Besame had a sale online to clear out old stock to make way for the new... so of course I was there, front and center! This loose powder was discounted to 10, which to be honest is still a bit pricey for me. You get .37oz (10g), which doesn't seem like a lot but I've found a little goes a long way. I don't wear foundation most days, just a light dusting of powder to even out my skintone and tone down my freckles. This one melts into my skin and looks very nice. I pat it on with the included puff then smooth it out with a powder brush. I LOVE the vanilla scent - and this coming from someone who usually hates vanilla. For reference: I am NW15 with dry, not particularly sensitive skin.

Chantecaille Loose powder

Review by Viognier: While this product has a smooth and soft finish it caused my skin to itch terribly and my eyes to water. Instead of talc it contains aluminum starch, which may be the irritant. It wasn't very good at oil-control either.

Review by ahappyplace: This is really the best i try by now. I am not fan of loose powders and i don't really like powdery look but this one just gives me gorgeous face
My face doesn?t look like have loose powder at all. It?s leaving me a lovely mate finish smooth my skin and my make up last all day long. I just couldn?t stop touching my face all day ..is so soft.
I am MAC 15-20 and I have it in # Light (from a lovely swapper?.TY Liz) and when I see it really look to me like flour but ones I apply is GREAT.
I try many powders like La Prairie, T.LeClerc, Caron, YSL, Chanel and so much more, so far this one is the best

Review by bklyncowgirl: I am a ddd and have this in Shadow. I have sensitive combi-nation skin that tends to be more oily during the summer months. I love this powder and the fact that I experience no irritation whatsover! I have found that by using a powder brush and "buffing" the powder on to my skin gives me lasting matte coverage that is better than when I used the puff that comes with the powder. I use blotting sheets on the sheen that breaks through in my T-zone. This is HG for me as it does what it promises without the irritation or greyish/ashy cast I have exper-ienced with other lines. If you can find a color that works for you - I say it is worth every penny. Treat yourself and enjoy!

Caron Poudre Peau Fine in *Venitienne*

Review by liselise1: Just sublime. Everything you could want in a loose powder. It's all been said by the posters below. Caron excels here.Bravo!

Review by stephanie32082: Absolutely the finest (literally!) powder out there! Caron says it is made in an "antique" proprietary way, resulting in an ultra superfine product that still somehow has weight and substance. "Venitienne" looks like something out of an 18th century period movie where the women wear powdered wigs and carmine lip dye. Amazingly, this powder is suitable for everyday wear- the clear pink tone is highlighted with GOLD, not the usual silver, so the effect is a warm, gorgeous glow. Worn with a clear coral blush, the effect is marvelous. Buy this from the NYC Caron Boutique- they send samples, too. TRY IT!!
