Cargo Plantlove- Lindsay

Review by iberian: First of all, the whole concept of this lipstick is fantastic. The fact that it's so eco-friendly was what sparked my interest. However, when I learned that Lindsay Lohan helped develop one of the colors, I was sold. I'm a cosmetic's company's dream; I'm easily suckered into anything endorsed by a celebrity I adore. I basically stalked my local Sephora until this came out, and I bought the Lindsay one (of course). The color is kind of a medium Barbie pink. Very pretty. It looks okay on me, kind of like my natural lipcolor. However, I've had to return it because it breaks so easily!! I would probably purchase this again, as well as other colors.

Review by Susie31: What I am mostly in love with when it comes to this product is the packaging - i had seen this lipstick talked about for a long time on the boards but never knew you could actually plant the box! how neat! I will definitely have to get myself a little pot and try that :) The tube itself is also very pretty and is made out of corn. I bought the lipstick in two shades: Lindsay and Yakushima. They're both very beautiful and have a nice sheer, moisturizing consistency. This is the first cargo lipstick I have ever owned, and I love it:) The color is a very barbie-dollish pink, but its sheerness makes my green eyes pop. Would definitely repurchase!

Review by kat_25: I actually love this lipstick. I agree that the packaging with flower seeds sorta lured me in - I was curious about it and do intend to plant them. :) I ordered the Pink Plantlove set from HSN/Sephora and got a very good deal on it. It had this lipstick and a plum colored one (Sargamartha or something like that), a lipliner and pursegloss. This was my favorite out of the bunch. I am quite pale and have medium pigmented lips. This is a bubblegum pink shade. Very creamy texture. Has to be applied more than once to have a color payoff and too mucy applying (like said below) might make it a little too pink and washed out. I apply about three times and have the perfect pale spring pink color that I was looking for! There is no shimmer. I find it very versatile as you can build color. I actually like it ----- a lot!

Merle Norman Luxiva Lip Glaze

Review by island_honey: I reviewed the I'm Peachless. Also bought this in Pillow Talk. Both colors are barely there. The gloss-stick is a great product, but this one is way overpriced. I would not buy again. Revlon and Avon have similar products for much less. The only thing Merle Norman has over the other guys is the golden tube. The others are standard black. But who cares if you can get 3 for the price of 1. Also similar to Clinique's Almost Lipstick.

Review by psychoexgirlfriend: I got this product in Bare Hug. It gives a slight tint of a neutral brown with a little shimmer, but it is so smooth and easy when it goes on! I will buy another color when they have a free gift.

Review by labelslut: I have this in cinnamon sugar, which looks brown in the tube, but is a nice natural berry on my lips. I like it because it does not dry out my lips, like most lipsticks. I just dab a bit on my bottom lip, smack my lips together, then spread with my finger for a natural look.

TheBalm Wanted

Review by Vaniessa: I absolutely love this product. I first bought the same lipstick in Scoop, a pretty pink color, but I had to come back for this one. TheBalm's lipsticks are moisturizing like lip balm, but have enough pigment in them that you're actually wearing a classy looking lipstick. It's not creamy or smeary like other lipsticks, it's just like wearing balm. I am in love with this lipstick. It's the perfect shade of red for me; I don't feel self-conscious and I'm not scared it's going to smear all over the place. Just perfect.

Review by lorraine07: oh I love this lipstick!! I would describe it as a pinkish red, raspberry colored. for daytime I apply one layer and smudge it a bit for a light stain. if I want a more dramatic look it is easy to add a few more layers. it is very moisturizing and I know that it looks good even if I apply it without a mirror.
I agree, it looks fabulous on pale (best on cool or neutral toned) skin. it gives this snowwhite effect. very pretty!

Review by AutumnBliss: TheBalm has quickly become one of my fave cosmetic companies. Generous amount of product, great pigmentation, non irritating to my skin and cute packaging. Price is alright too. This lipstick is sheer true red which just brightens up my fair-medium Eurasian skin. This and a blackest black mascara is all I need for the day. When it fades, it leaves a subtle stain. Price is about SGD 19 and can be found at SaSa outlets in Asia. One flaw is the el cheapo lipstick tube made of cardboard a la Stila which sometimes hard to take off and put back on, but ok... it's enviromentally friendly so can't complain too much.
