what to look for when buying a foundation primer?Let's see the 3 effective foundation primer !

Kevyn Aucoin The Sensual Skin Primer

Review by jenss79: This product is just not worth the high price tag. I have found others, quite less expensive, that work as well. Sephora Brand Smoothing Primer is an excellent choice at a fraction of the price. Unless you find that the benefits are unsurpassable for you, I would suggest saving your money. I dont't mean to knock the procuct because I love KA products and swear by many....this is just not one of them.

Review by aml1: I've been on the hunt for a good primer which would work on my oily skin. This primer is light and not a heavy silicone feel like Smashbox. Two pumps is all I need to do my whole face. Makeup goes on evenly and smoothly and holds up well throughout the day. I took off one lippie because it's a tiny pump container and there's no way to tell when you are running out.

Review by funkybabe: I really like this primer! I've tried the Laura Mercier one (which did nothing for me) and the Smashbox one (which is good also). The K.A. one seems to have less silicone than the Smashbox one so it's "nicer" to my skin. My makeup looks great all day long with this. The only gripe I have is the price (expensive) for the small amount you get (less than 1/2 oz!) and the packaging which is really pretty bad. First, there's the fact you can't see how much product is left and second, it's in one of those sealed pump containers so you can't even take the top off to look inside.

Skindinavia T-Zone Makeup Primer

Review by kimmie578: Keeps my oil slick at bay, definitly holds true to other reviews. A must have for oily skin.

Review by runty: This is my first experience with face primers. I avoided getting into primers because adding another step to the "routine" sounded silly. I have actually added this in permanently. I put it all over because I am oily everywhere. I very much notice that my foundation appears smoother and stays matt longer than when I do not use this primer. Also, this doesn't make me break out. I think it may actually seal my face in a way because I break out more often if I do not use it. I took off one lippie because I don't think 20 for .5 fl. oz. is reasonable. I feel that I should get at least a whole fluid ounce for that much money.

Review by Susie31: I just purchased this at Ulta, it came in a kit along with the cleanser, moisture spray and make up finishing spray. It was on clearance for 19.99, regularly 69.00. I thought it was a good deal, and knew I could return it if I didn't like it. I've already tried the moisture and finishing sprays and was pleased with those. I really wanted this kit for the primer. My skin has been super oily recently, and I've had it with my skin feeling greasy and having to constantly blot.
I tried it for the first time today and I'm very happy with the results. It really works and keeping oil away! I've tried other primers mostly with lots of 'cones in them and my face is not only oily, but the 'cones make me break out. So that's a no win situation.
I've very happy with this! Go get some if you have oily skin! It really does work!

Lola Cosmetics Refine Prime Foundation Primer

Review by gogoamy: This works great for me. I didn't the typical silicone slip feeling from most other primers out there. Very moisturizing and holds my foundation well, I prefer to use this during winter and a more oil-absorbing base in the summer. All-in-all a fair deal given its reasonable price. The pump works wonderfully and I don't need to worry about germs cultivating in the bottle.

Review by biomechmonster: I originally had my mind set on the ModelCo primer, but my closest Sephora doesn't carry that brand. I needed it that day so I took the salesgirl's advice on the Lola primer, since my biggest concern was oil-free. I love it, it feels like nothing is on but makes my skin feel very soft. It improves my skin's appearance alone, and works great under foundation or powders. Better than the waxy smashbox photo finish primer, which is only really good for photo shoots anyway. Lola = good stuff

Review by Viognier: Love, love this primer. I had been using Laura Mercier, but am so glad I made the switch. This product feels great on the skin and definitely helps my foundation last and stay in place through the day. I think it's a little pricey at around 40, but it's worth it. The packaging is great, with a no mess pump.
