what to look for in highlighters?Let's see the 3 effective highlighters !

Giorgio Armani Fluid Sheer #1

Review by bastet: I mix with LSF #6 for a more yellow and brighter finish, used on its own it is too sheer to show up on my NC30 skintone - everything but the chunks of glitter disappear. You need to shake well before dispensing otherwise it separates. Has too much sheen for day time use, and does not do such an excellent job at correcting redness as I had wished for.

Review by pulidobl: Yellowish-beige with gold sparkle. I use it to highlight cheeks.

Review by mielr: This is a perfect corrector for anyone with strong yellow/golden undertones. I have great difficulty finding foundations that are yellow enough to match my neck, which is slightly more yellow than my face. This has allowed me to correct all of my wonderful foundations (Prescriptives, GA, Laura Mercier, Kevyn Aucoin) that are STILL a tad too pink. My face and neck now blend seamlessly. GA Fluid Sheer # 1 has a subtle shimmer, but it can easily be worn during the day if mixed with a regular foundation. I'll never be without this. I understand that GA once also made this corrector without shimmer (Liquid Sheer #6.) I wish they would bring it back!

Smashbox Soft Lights Smashing Tint

Review by mashafromrussia: I got this for free on the Smashbox website during one of their "Tues/Thurs Let's Do Lunch" promos. (which is why for me, it was dirt cheap :P ) Honestly I don't use any sort of "highlighter" on my cheeks, so when I got it, I decided to try it as a highlighter for my browbone. Now I use it every day to give a natural accent to my eye shadow without looking overpowering or too shiny. So, if you find it doesn't do the trick for your face, try your eyes! :)

Review by Springncts: Smashbox Soft Lights in Smashing Tint is a golden powder highlighter that flashes an iridescent fleshy nude on my slightly tan C3 skin. The texture so velvety, it can be applied and blended with fingers. It's a gorgeous color, but the iridescence keeps it from looking natural for daytime wear. The screw-top container is inconvenient, but I like seeing the colors through the lid. Apply Smashing Tint to the planes of your cheekbones, but not as an all-over bronzer.

Review by taurusgurl5984: This is one of my favorite products from Smashbox. For reference, I am NC40. So anything lighter on tan skin will show up better. Anything darker on tan skin will appear like smeared patch of dirt on ones face.
I have gone through three pans of this product. I use it almost everyday. I use it as my everyday sweep of color on my eyes. I use it to over blushes, and I use it to highlight my forehead, nose, chin, and temples to give me a more healthy appearance. I especially love how it appears in photos. My skin appears more even and healthy. The texture is soft and easy to apply. One pan usually lasts me a year and like I mentioned I use this almost daily. At 28 this lasts me a long time so it's pretty affordable in my books plus it has multiple uses and I'm always up for anything with multi-functions. I will definitely repurchase again and again.

NARS Luxor - The Multiple

Review by Pinki: This is a nice quality highlighter, I have the mini version that came in a set so I think the price was better than purchasing the full size. I did put "no" for a repurchase as though the size is small it will last a long time. At first use my impression of this product was'nt good, it seemed to sheer and as I blended it disappeared, so then I dabbed the product on and it shows up so much better and I feel like I do not waste so much product. Looks alot like Benefit Highbeam as far as color goes but the quality is different, stick vs liquid, stick is easier to blend, works well with other products and looks more natural.

Review by ckgurl714: the most perfect natural highlight imaginable on my super pale skin. I love that it gives this wonderful understated sheen instead of that disco glitter or oily teasture most highlighters give. I also like wearing this as a wash on my eyelids with just some super black mascara. You can also use it to highlight down the center of the nose and even on oily skin it doesn't budge. Love it.

Review by auth: I really like this, but I think I prefer benefit's highbeam ultimately.
