NYX Midnight

Review by kjjamm808: This, like NYX Odyssey, is black matte shadow with glitter in it. I can't see any gold or green or whatever other reviewers have said in the actual shadow, when I blow off the glitter, it looks just like NYX Black. The glitter is gorgeous, gold and some other colors, and if you can get it to stick the effect can be nice. But it's hard to get the glitter to stick, and then you just end up with black matte.

Review by bekkbekk1985: Midnight is a shimmery/glittery blackened green. If you remember Jane Twilight Zone e/s, this is similar maybe a tad darker and less shimmery. Great shadow for a smokey green eye. There is some fallout from the glitter but its nothing we can't handle. Great color and I dont see this one often.

Review by coolRED: I love this color and I like how easy it is to blend. It is well pigmented too. This goes on more black than what it looks like in the pan. I like the shimmer, it looks sophisticated to me. This is one of my favorites.

Milani Deep Desire

Review by cgosyne: On me, this is a medium purple with pink shimmer. It looks good on my blue eyes, paired with bronze eyeliner. It's not my favorite color but it's pretty and I would buy it again.

Review by fitnessa: A deep shimmery purple. Perfect for a smokey purple eye. Doesn't apply *quite* as smoothly as some Milani shadows but it is certainly far from choppy in application. Very nice color.

Review by dxgirly: Great quality e/s for a great price! This color is almost the exact same color as Mac trax.

Cat Cosmetics Shadow Duo in 'Eartha Cat'

Review by Sybil84: This is a beautiful combo for a natural look. Personally, I like darker shadow shades, but when I'm in a situation where I definitely should not look like I'm wearing too much makeup, this is a perfect solution. VERY natural looking! I have it in the Six Kitten, which is a great go-to palette.

Review by Capprii: I liked this shadow duo a lot more than I expected. I have to admit that I personally found the product names and cat theme a little too cutesy and gimmicky and wondered if the products would be of decent quality. I don't watch soap operas so I really am not familiar with the founder of the company or her "look" or "style." This shadow duo is the only thing I've tried but I was pleasantly surprised. The colors go on a little softer than I expected but not too soft. The texture is very smooth and blends well. Both shades (a golden beige taupe shade with subtle shimmer, and a more matte darker taupe brown) would work well for a natural look and would complement most skin tones, including those on the fairer side such as myself. I do find the packaging a little difficult to pry open at times and once accidentally smashed my finger into a corner of the shimmery shade.

Review by laurilauri: I bought Eartha Cat based on the color description, hoping it would be a "my lids but better" shade. Eartha Cat has two sides, a matte, medium fleshy-beige, and a frosty slightly lighter shimmery beige (kind of like UD's Midnight Cowboy but much warmer). Sadly, the matte color is too dark to be used as an allover lid wash for me, which was what I wanted. I applied it and it was way too pigmented and peachy for my fair skin. I can't ding the product for the color not working for me though - Cat's eyeshadows are great and I will use this, just not as an allover wash of color. The shimmery side will make a nice highlighter too.
