Marcelle Pressed Powder

Review by Lola_Bear: I must say I am very surprised by its quality. Marcelle was on sale last month at Shoppers Drug Mart so I randomly picked this pressed power (8.99 only, which was like 50% off regular price).
I'm a big fan of pressed powers and I've tried a lot of drug store products. The best I've used so far is Physicians' Formula mineral wear face power, but Marcelle is even better than Physicians' Formula because Marcelle lasts longer and provides a smoother finish than PF does.
The only downside of Marcelle is that this power contains talc whereas PF mineral power seems more natural but Marcelle matches my skin tone so that evens out the pros and cons.

Review by ahappyplace: A good powder that doesn't look like powder. It is nice and soft, however I do not recommend this for sensitive skin. It broke me out because it contains talc. So if you're allergic to talc, STAY away, otherwise, a great product.

Review by jenss79: Amazing product! I've tried many different pressed powders over the years and this one is by far my favourite. The translucent formula gets rid of shine effectively without adding an unnatural chalky or monochromatic look. For those hot summer days, I blot first with Tea Tree Oil Blotting Tissues from the Body Shop, then follow it up with this product. Even after a long, exhausting bike-ride date on a very humid day, this combo made me look like I hadn't even broken a sweat. Highly recommended!

Estee Lauder Double Wear Mineral Rich Loose Powder Makeup SPF 12

Review by ciarar: I found the "powder foundation Brush 3" a lot more expensivie than the mineral powder. I presume it will last me several years. I use the powder every day and it has great coverage for all ocassions. I love using it on my face, my neck down to my upper breast where I have sun spots (until I apply the mineral powder). It's great to use and it doesn't rub on to my clothes. It's easy to apply but a little tricky to stop some of the powder floating onto the vanity.

Review by lmharte: My skin: combination, NC20/25, have some mild acne scars
I really really like this product. I like mineral powder foundations in general and this is my favourite so far. I have this product in intensity 2 and the color matches my skin tone much better than DW . This is a meduim coverage foundation( on the estee lauder website it says full, but it is not full coverage) and the finish is semi matte. It fees great on skin, very silky and lightweight and it has got a nice sheen to it. Unlike compact formulas , this doesnot magnify my pores and looks natural. It is supposed to be long lasting ( the website says 12hrs), it doesn't last for 12 hrs but compared to other powders this has pretty good lasting power( 5 to 6 hrs). The packaging is fine, just be careful not to put the container upside down. The product is a bit pricey but worthed, I would definitely buy his again.

Review by Capprii: I love this product. At first when I tested it out on my hand i disliked how sheen my hand looked but mistake number obviously never discard a product because it doesn't look good on your hand. I applied it with a nice powder foundation brush and it look so pretty and natural. I'm really oily so after 5 hours it was still on but looked a bit dewy but nothing compared to how i usually get aka extremely oily with small traces of foundation. It lasts for me up to 8 hours before i need to touch up. I love it but price wise its a bit pricey but i will last you 6 months if you used it wisely.

Napoleon Perdis NP Set Pasarella Powder Foundation

Review by Jennybear: I'm really surprised by just how good this foundation powder is! I've tried so many foundation powders, mostly mineral foundation powders including Ultraceuticals, Pur Minerals, Physicians Formula, BYS, etc and this is the best. It is better in terms of staying power and the fine texture of the powder. For reference, my skin is quite oily in the t zone and sensitive on the cheekbones and under-eyes. The colours are a bit confusing to choose. I originally thought I'd be no. 2 light, but the extra light, no. 1 is a better match. For reference, my skin tone is light/fair with pink undertones. The tone of the powder does a good job in minimising redness. the price is higher than many other powders but I believe it's worth it.Cheers!

Review by Caligirl42990: I like this foundation...it has a fast application and goes on very evenly. Extremely convenient. Sometimes I like to do a matte face (I usually use products that provide some type of a subtle glow) and this is perfect. Coverage is very buildable and blendable. However, if my skin is dry, this foundation does tend to make the dryness more visible. I always make sure to use a good moisturizer and primer (usually NP Set or Pixi) beforehand.

Review by bobsy: This is the third item I tried from the NP Set collection debuting at Target. I also like this product very much. It is a very finely milled pressed powder that can go on sheer when applied with a brush as a setting powder, or If you want more coverage, the sturdy sponge puff provided with give you more coverage. The packaging has a compartment that is vented on the bottom for the puff which is great. It also has a mirror and the inside and out is white. I think for the quality, the price is reasonable. So far, it has not dried out my skin or broke me out. It does contain Shea Butter, so oilier skins beware. I wear "Light" and the color is a good match (NC 25 in MAC). Made in Italy and retails for 30.00.
