MAC Viva Glam VI Special Edition

Review by almighty_curv: When I first saw this in the store, it looked like a nude pink with warm mauve undertones, like almost a perfect match for the most pigmented part of my lips. I tried it on and loved the way it made my lips look perfectly smooth and even-toned with a touch of satiny sheen. MLBB, as they say. When I caught my reflection outdoors, in natural light, I was a little shocked to see that my lips were, in fact, bright lilac-pink, as if I'd mixed Up The Amp and Hug Me. Thankfully this isn't a problem for me, as I own and love both of those shades. VGVI SE is an interesting shade: demure indoors, bold outdoors. It's a warm-friendly cool shade that I think would look good on a variety of skin tones. It has nice coverage for a Lustre and feels buttery on the lips without being oily or glossy. Try this if you want something more fun than Syrop and less crazy than Up the Amp.

Review by blueaygi: I LOVE this. It's like my lips, but with more oomph. Definitely will repurchase.

Review by Sybil84: So I just had to try this on. I love Viva Glams for so many reasons and was very excited when my MA told me about this. I went and tried it on with the lipglass. At first I was taken aback as to how PINK is really looked! I started to buy it and then decided to wear it around and see how it actually looked. It looked SOOO much better in natural light than in those dang flourescent dept. store lights! Whew! I know I love the gloss color and after wearing the color around for a little I decided it's nothing like I've ever worn or tried to wear before. Still have bought it but I think I will just to have such a color in my arsenal. Perfect for spring! I'll update after I purchase and wear around more. Great texture and moisturizes great!

MAC Eden Rocks

Review by funkybabe: I have used this color off and on for awhile. I love it! Definetely a go-to lipstick when you want to feel more polished and put together. With that being said it does require a good coordinating lipliner (Stripdown by MAC is perfect) and always a different gloss gives a different look. Deepen it with sinnamon or make it full on pinkish and shiney with dazzleglass baby sparks.

Review by pretty_please: This is a neutral frosted pink mauve that mimics my own natural lip color, except makes them look better. A great color for me.

Review by glossgal_01: It's not a bad lipstick, honestly. I would describe it as a pink-mauve with some brown. I'm NW20 and i can pull this off as long as i don't apply it too thickly; it actually gives a very polished and pulled together look. It has a nice texture for a frost, creamy and not gritty, which helps with application also. It's just not a very versatile lipstick for me because i'm in college and don't foresee myself wearing this a lot, i usually gravitate towards brighter, cooler shades. Still, nice to have in your collection, but not a must have..

Clarins Joli Rouge (all colors)

Review by Erin: I really like the formulation of this lipstick. Very moisturizing without the waxy feeling. Rather weightless yet providing decent colour. The colour on lips is quite true to what is in the tube and fyi, the shade I tried was #722 Lilac Pink. On the glossy side but no shimmer/ glitter is a big plus for me.
The lipstick has a sweet fruity scent too. Smells nice to me and apparently doesn't bother me. The scent is gone quickly when applied to lips anyway.
I guess the only thing I didn't like abt Joli Rouge is the packaging? It's heavy and a bit chubby. If they change the packaging, I'm sure I'll give an overall rating of 5.

Review by cloud0204: Seriously, this stuff is HG material!
I'm not a big fan of lipsticks, because I have full, easily chapped (think: tonnes of lines), lips, and whenever I apply lipstick, it just makes me look off. I only ever use lip chap along with lip stains, because they give more of a natural effect (as if I had just eaten popsicles, haha).
But MY GODDDD, this is AMAZING!!! It's honestly the best lipstick I've ever used in my life. You can't beat it. It lasts all day, doesn't give a flakey look, and it's PERFECT.
Oh and the color. The color is incredible. Sooooo vibrant and pigmented! I know it's expensive stuff, but you really do get the value for your money. I use the 711 (I think it's Papaya). I love it so much, I would marry it, if I could.

Review by lipstik: I have colour 730, pink blossom, which is very close to the colour of my lips. I bought this cuz I don't want a colour that screams "I'm wearing lipstick". The texture is great...smooth and non-drying, non-sticky. I like this texture better than the Dior addict and chanel coco lipsticks I had before. The lipstick looks shinier when I tried it on my hand in the store, but it is not shiny on my lips...I was looking for a more shiny one. But it's ok cuz I got the Joli Rouge Brillant as well to do a top coat. I don't have much liking for Clarins before so I'm surprised that their lipstick is so good. The packaging...I don't mind that it looks solid, but it scratches so easily. got it for a week and got quite scratched up on one side already =(
