Essence Lipstick

Review by ZoSo: These are really creamy and moisturizing. The color payoff isn't that great unfortunately but I have the lipstick in a frosty pink color (forgot the name) and i know these shades are less likely to show up than for example a bright red.
They have a nice smell.
They are a bit small so I'm not sure how much product they contain, but I'm sure it's less than in a regular lipstick. It doesn't bother me though, I prefer to repurchase the product than have it in my drawer for years and never use it up.
In my opinion a lot better then e.l.f. lipsticks from their essential line, especially the packaging, these are also made out of plastic but they are kinda cute.
Nice product, just don't expect it to be very pigmented or non-shimmery/matte. This is more like a shiny tinted lip balm in my opinion.

Review by Chloeclover: I have two of these lipsticks (in the Nude and Almost Famous) and I definetly plan to buy more as they are really cheap for the product you get. First of all, I love the consistency and the smell. these lipsticks almost feel like lipbalms, as they are soft and moisturizing. the smell is lovely, just like gummy candies, but not annoying at all.
I love the packaging and I think they are just perfect to throw in your bag for a daily use. the color is really sheer, but considering I am not a lipstick girl, I think it's actually great because they look more like colored lipbalms or lipglosses. I think they're just a great deal for their price and I will definetly get more colors soon!

Review by angelchan: I have one of these lipsticks in the color "Coral-ize Me." I don't usually wear brighter colors of lipstick, but I really do love this one! Its dirt-cheap but works great. It has a really nice color payoff and has a long lasting factor. Great lipstick and will most likely purchase more (:

Chanel Hydrabase Morning Rose

Review by fuxxy: Morning Rose is a perfect rosebud pink. Its kinda neutral brownish rose with shimmer. It gives a soft effect on the lips. I love this colour for fall because a lot of the colours for fall are roses and berries in terms of clothing this year.

Review by jules2064: A fellow MUAer recommended this color to me and I'm so glad she did. It reminds me of Silhoutte (Rouge Allure) with a subtle shimmer. Looks lovely paired with Imaginaire lip gloss and Natural lip liner. A definite dressier YLBB combo. Both Morning Rose and Imaginaire are part of Chanel's Fall 2006 collection. Only downside is I find the Hydrabase a bit drying alone. I would recommend gloss over this for more moisture. Allure Rough has a smoother more moisturizing feel.

Review by belladoggie00: This shade is a YLBB color--great for a natural look. The color is a neutral-warm brownish pink/mauve with a subtle sheen. I see some peach when I swipe it on my hand. I initially dismissed this one when it came out in '06 and I'm so glad I gave it another try.

Revlon Colorstay Overtime Lipcolor - Faithful Fawn

Review by belle2216: My absolute favorite lipstick is faithful fawn. No comparison. I have been wearing it since it came out. The bottom color goes on smooth. I use very little product since I don't like dark color on my lips. Then I finish the rest of my makeup before applying the top coat. Even after the topcoat wears off (i never reapply it), the faithful fawn color remains all day. I even put lip balm over it, and never notice it wiping off. I love it. I love it, I love it. I have recently bought the eternal tan color, which I also love, but not as much as the fawn color. One reviewer was right about the colors, and that is why I bought the tan. Both are very similar, but the fawn is a little pinker, and the tan is browner. With these two lipsticks I don't need any other!!

Review by GreeneyedGal: This is the first long-wear lipstick I have bought. I'm going to a conference in Chicago and it is supposed to be in the high 90's and high humidity and I don't want color slipping off my mouth. I tried out Faithful Fawn two days ago and so far so good. The color is the perfect "lip color only much richer"--a pinky browny plum. It DOES last all day. In fact I had to brush my lips along with my teeth at night to get it off. But overall I am VERY pleased. I'd catch glances of myself during the day and my lips always looked good. You do have to reapply the accomanying glosss--or other gloss, a few times. We'll see how it works in Chicago. Now about my naturally frizz-prone hair....

Review by Graceteix: This is my absolute favorite long lasting lip color period. Just apply to dry lips, let dry for approx one minute and you are good to go for 8-10 hours. I have found that the only thing that will cause the color to fade is a greasy meal. Covergirl Outlast, which also works well, used to be my favorite, but Revlon has won me over with their colors and I really like the gloss this comes with and the fact that it is connected to the tube color is a bonus.
