Scott Barnes Sable

Review by vengland: Wow! I am really impressed. This is a beautiful medium ashy taupy brown with a slight shimmer. It gives the perfect JLo eyes Scott Barnes is famous for. This in conjunction with his eyeliner in Chocolate, lip slick in provacative (peachy pink nude- total JLo lips) completes the look. I'm so in love with this!

Review by kerroppifreak: This, plus the Lilly e/s, = the Jennifer Lopez fantastic eye look. Absolutely a MUST HAVE. Looks boring in the pan, but amazing on the eye. Run to Saks, now!

Review by kitkat85: Really great eye shadow. I think that super pigmented eye shadows tend to look odd on my pale skin and I have trouble wearing a lot of colors including dark taupey ones like this. However this looks great when I put in on lightly with a brush. A nice finish of cool bronze with a little bit of a shimmery reflective quality that looks wonderful in the contour or on the outside edge of my lid. Great packaging too. The absolute best taupe color around for my money.

Shu Uemura Eye Shadow

Review by mashafromrussia: I was not fan of the Shu Uemura blush because it never gave me the glow everybody were talking about but instead of the glow I got dry fake matte finish. But these (powder) shadows are another story. Using the same standard eye shadow base routine that I always use with all my shadows, I still get color disappearing or creasing with shadows, I never use UDPP though because I dont like it. BUT These shadows are vibrant and they stay that way! I love MAC shadows too but they arent as long lasting as these. These are the best shadows I have ever used. I never thought one shadow is better than another I always thought thats just a hype, but seriously, this shadow is not a hype, not for me.

Review by jlinh2u: A top quality product, with plenty of pigment, smooth and even application, great lasting power, and a variety of shades and finishes. Not my first choice for neutral shades (other brands do them better) there are nevertheless plenty of unusual and unique ones in a less conventional palette. The clear, square containers are practical if you have lots of colors and need to find the ones you want quickly. Some recommended shades: P160 (lavender pearl), ME555 (deep metallic grey), P335 (citrus orange pearl), P190 (rosy pink pearl).

Review by cgosyne: I have this in Beige M 807. I wear it as a wash for casual days, though my bf says he can't see it, I feel that it evens out the tone of my skin, and makes it brighter and prettier (if that makes sense). One thing I must comment about Shu e/s, they are powdery in a rather thick clay-ish way. Very pigmented, not at all loose (no falling onto skin halfway between e/s and face) or chalky and blends like a dream (better than Chanel, IMHO). Can't wait to get more!

Bobbi Brown Eyeshadow in Charcoal

Review by mielr: Holy pigment! This shade is much too deep to serve as anything other than an eyeliner (I'm a BB Warm Ivory). It is a deep, dark grey that is a bit less dramatic than BB's gel liners. Like all BB matte shades, it has superb texture, intense pigmentation, and flawless application with the right tools. Lasts forever too! I wish the packaging was more sleek and slimline. I have all of my shadows in her six-pan palettes. They are cute but bulky, and it is a pain in the neck to screw the shadows into the palettes.

Review by kitten75: One of the first BB products I bought- so long ago, that this has the old packaging without the clear lid. THIS is the perfect matte black eye shadow that everyone needs to own for a classic, sexy smokey eye. I'm obsessed with smokey eyes, always have been! I guess I'm one of the few reviewers who uses this as an eyeshdadow rather than a liner- I prefer gel liners, in general. This is called Charcoal- and applies very dark gray but can be built up for a deep, matte black. My classic smokey eye is simply Charcoal applied around the eyes and gradually sheered out (with the MAC 217 brush) to right under the browbone, where I apply NARS Night Star (shimmery champagne) and blend. Has typial outstanding BB quality- silky smooth application, finely milled and lasts all day/night without creasig. I've had this for years and it shows no sign of wearing out but I WILL repurchase.

Review by sophie_tan: This is my fav dark eyeshadow. Superb quality, very easy to blend and makes a perfect smokey eye. And a lot of product in the pan, it will last me a long time. Matte and very pigmented. I love it!
