3 good eyeshadow brand, let's see how good they really are!

NYX Yellow Pearl

Review by kimmie578: Very wearable shade. Good pigmentation, and the texture makes it very easy to blend. I was looking for a yellow softer than MAC's Chrome Yellow, and I got it. This is a more buttery type of yellow, I am pleased with the purchase.

Review by glossgal_01: A buttery, golden yellow with a bit of shimmer. I love it! Although you can barely see it on my skin by itself, it really pops when I apply it over a cream base. It's very smooth and blendable and resistant to creasing. I could actually see myself wearing this every day! I'm addicted to it.

Review by dastac: Yellow pearl... what can I say. It's an amazing highlighter. It's just the right amound of saturated color on your brow bone or the bottom lash line/inner corner. It's such a surprising color for a highlight that most people look in and say wow. Anyone can use a basic white or silver, but yellow pearl just has something more to make eyes pop. Yellow is also a huge color for spring and summer this year, it's everywhere. It looks like a buttercup yellow in the pot, but much more pretty. With brown eyes, it stands out even more. So you want to keep that in mind and very dark eyes might not love this color, but some might. Also, the darker skintones might think this is extreme on them. I have light skin.

Paula Dorf Smoke Gets in Your Eyes eye kit

Review by IMAproductwhore: I wanted a smokey DIY look for my wedding, and this set was great for that! It has all the right shades and they coordinate perfectly. I have a slight yellowey-green undertone in my skin and get really pale in the winter (don't know what my MAC color would be), and this combo was perfect on me. I actually didn't even realize that the taupe and silver had bluish undertones...they looked more bronzey-pink on me (not the silver, that just looked like steel gray). anyway, the brushes made it very easy to get the right look and the colors were very easy to work with as they are shimmery and not flat or overly dramatic. my results were fantastic! the look lasted throughout the day/night, and i don't remember thinking i needed to fix anything. i did use a primer on my eyelids.

Review by sleepyone: What a great value for what you get! I'm not going to list the colors as they are perfectly mentioned below. The texture is wonderful, and the shadows are not over the top shimmer, they are subtle enough for daytime. Very pigmented. They are quite neutral, leaning somewhat to the cool side, but very versatile, nonetheless. A great way for someone new to the line to try her e/s. If it is still available when I run out, i will definitely repurchase.

Review by kitten75: I love smoky eyes and this kit is beautiful. You get Strapless (white shimmer), Marabou (soft pink shimmer), Daydream (gorgeous taupe shimmer), Midnight (shimmery gunmetal grey) and twilight (shimmery black). The taupe color is stunning. It does go on a little silvery blue, but I still love the look with my brown eyes and nc30 light olive complexion. A little black liner on the inner rims, and you are ready to go. The colors are nicely pigmented and you get a nice variety. Retails for 25.

Bare Escentuals Good Fortune Glimmer

Review by pinkiiish: This was given to me by someone in a trade, and while it is not something I would have necessarily bought for myself, I am glad to have it. The color in the pot is similar to a fortune cookie, and it is a little scary. When I put it on, it is a beautiful, warm shade. It is not really peachy, but not too yellow either. Very hard to describe. It is also fairly sparkly, but not in a glittery way. It is great for a "I don't want to leave the house without makeup, but I don't really want to get made-up" look. My biggest complaint is that it does not have a sifter top.

Review by shopgirl087: What a fun but neutral shade! In the pot it looks like a peach tinged gold and goes on very similar. I've seen many say it loses its peachy qualities but I found that using a champagne colored base helps to preserve that. I think it'd make a great highlighter or a nice gloss mixed with clear. I got this in the wish kit and, as with everything that came in it, I couldn't be more please. BE is quickly reeling me in as a huge fan!

Review by LuiLui: I'm fairly new to Bare Escentuals, but so far I love it. I put on this natural glimmering eyeshadow over well rested, put on some mascara and I'm good to go!
